Open Fires
   Call the Fire Department dispatcher at (262) 473-0555 or Sheriff at
   (262) 741-4400 to report you will have an open fire.  It will prevent
   them being called out for a false alarm and charging you up to
   $850.

It is now illegal to use phosphorous based fertilizers in
   Wisconsin, be sure there is no phosphorous on the label of any
   fertilizer you use.

BRUSH CHIPPING SERVICE is supplied the first Monday of each month
   from April to November by appointment only. Call town office. The first
   15 minutes of chipping is free, then a charge of $30 per 10-minute intervals,
   per call. Brush 3' or longer, 3/4" to 4" diameter must be placed at curbside
   with cut end facing the road. Vines, rakings, roots and root balls will not be
   accepted.


BICYCLING as per state statute is permitted on all roads. Bicyclists must
    obey traffic rules.
PARKING ON ROADS: there is no parking on Town roads. If you plan a
    special event and need parking in addition to your driveway, contact
    the Town Chairman for roadway parking permission.
POLICE PROTECTION: the Walworth County Sheriff's Department
    provides general police protection and traffic control. Whitewater
    Lake Boat Safety Patrol operates during the summer boating season
    to create a safe lake environment

The only church located in the Town of Whitewater.  It is one of the oldest churches in Wisconsin to have continued service to a community.  Schedule:  Memorial Day through Labor Day; Saturday 5 p.m., Sunday 8 a.m.  On the last Sunday of these months there is an Oil Lamp Service at 8:30 p.m.

WHITEWATER LAKE ACTIVITIES

WHITEWATER SNO SEEKERS:  The Whitewater Sno Seekers is a club dedicated to snowmobiling.  The Sno Seekers boasts a membership of about 100 families.  Along with 14 other clubs in Walworth County, they maintain over 100 miles of marked snowmobile trails.  For further information, contact Ed or Grace Bauschke 608-883-2092 or write Whitewater Sno Seekers, Box 254, Whitewater, WI 53190.  The Meeting are held the second Tuesday at 7:30pm from September through April, at Saxes Lone Star on State Road 12. 

MINNEISKA WATER SKI TEAM: The ski team is a family oriented organization.  Its members are comprised of children to adults of all ages and skiing abilities.  The team performs on Whitewater Lake at the Scenic Ridge Campgrounds on Town Line Road at 6:30pm Saturday evenings Memorial Day through Labor Day.  If you would like more information on the Minneiska Ski Team, please write us at PO Box 434, Whitewater, WI 53190
